Kinver Student Performs in Sweeney Todd

Well done to Year 11 Kinver High student, Jas Ruffle, who performed in Sweeney Todd at Stourbridge Town Hall last month.

Jas was in the chorus in Quarry Bank Youth Musical Theatre group’s performance of Sweeney Todd, the infamous tale of an unjustly exiled barber who returns to nineteenth century London seeking vengeance.

She has been performing since the age of 7 in musical theatre, and played a Delta Nu in Legally Blonde for KLOS this year, Frenchie in Grease last year as well as playing Wendy in Peter Pan and The artful Dodger in Oliver before that.

She is now having a break from shows to enable her to focus on her GCSEs but will be applying for a place at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) and other musical theatre courses in order to pursue her dream of a career in musical theatre. She will continue with her dance classes in Stourbridge and hopes to perform with Invoke dance during this year.
