“Congratulations to three of our DofE Bronze groups who completed and passed their practice expedition recently. Students in these groups were able to demonstrate excellent navigation skills, persevering with their walk in the very warm weather! In addition to this, they showed their campcraft and teamwork at the campsite to help one another with their tents and evening meals.
“As ever, the students were a pleasure to work with, and it was great for staff to see the conscientious and supportive attitude that the students demonstrated throughout the entirety of the weekend. Considering the strength of these groups throughout their expedition, I would expect them to repeat their successes in the final weekend at the end of June. Well done to these students!” said Mr Fox.
Well done to Sophie White in Year 7 who has produced an outstanding homework collage based on her favourite animal – horses.
Head of Art, Mrs Jarman, said: “Sophie has managed to use lots of shades of brown to create a 3D effect. Well done!”
“I have really enjoyed teaching my art class of 2019, they have improved so much in both skills and creativity. We have had a lovely atmosphere in lessons and I have really got to know all of the students well. The photograph shows the coursework pieces, there will be showcases of individual work to follow. The exam went well and we had lots of creative work on the themes of Mirror, Dwellings, Signs, Boxes and Birds.”

Congratulations to all of our Kinver High students who took part in yesterday’s Invictus Games at Pedmore High School.
Headteacher, Mr Taylor, said: “I am very proud of all of our students who gave their best. Our footballers played particularly well and were unfortunate not to win a game, our Year 7s did well at archery against older competition. A special mention to our swimmers who were amazing and won the swimming competition and to Joel Hands who won outstanding male performer for the day.
“The conduct of all of our students was exemplary.”
Kinver came 4th overall. Well done everyone!
