Geography Students visit Birmingham’s Grand Central

On Wednesday 19th June and Friday 5th July our Year 10 Geography students visited Grand Central in Birmingham to conduct an enquiry relating to the regeneration of the area.

Our students collected a variety of data at four locations around Grand Central and then within Grand Central.

The data which they collected will be analysed and written up in lessons and the students will then have an exam paper on this in their final GCSEs.

Geography teacher, Miss Gilhooley, said: “We completed pedestrian and traffic counts, environmental quality surveys, field sketches, land use surveys and questionnaires.

“The weather was kind and the data collection was successful. This data will help our students in their exam next year.”
