Kinver Dressage Champion

Well done to Year 10 student, Lois Hughes who competed with her horse Woody at the British Dressage earlier this week. She won overall in both of her classes with very high scores, better than many adult riders (she was again one of two juniors at the competition). She has now qualified for the National Petplan Area Festivals and the National Under 25s championship too. This is very exciting as both are huge competitions!

Lois attended two British Dressage Youth training squad sessions over the Christmas break and is being put forward to B squad which is higher than level expected for her age as she should be in C plus.

One of the training sessions was very exciting as it was with World and European gold medallist Sophie Wells MBE, who expressed very positive comments about Lois’s riding and her competency.

Here are some photos of Lois and Woody!
