Kinver in Rotary Speaks Competition

Last Tuesday evening our Rotary Youth Speaks team competed in their local heat of the Senior competition at Ellowes Hall. The team comprised Iwo Dokszewicz, our chairperson, James Bruce our proposer and Tegan Hands our opposer. The format of the competition had changed this year, meaning that all students had to speak about our chosen topic for five minutes each.

Our students had chosen to debate whether stereotypes would ever truly disappear from our society. The students worked really hard researching this topic and formulating their speeches ready for the competition. Unfortunately, they did not win on Tuesday but were commended for their hard work and determination in the competition.

Well done!
