Our Year 9 geography students have been studying environmental issues as their current topic and the increasing problem of plastic pollution.
The homework task was to create something from a piece of single-use plastic to re-purpose it.
These pictures are from 9 Black and were some of the pieces that the class voted as the best. A special shout out to Kayleigh-Marie Taylor who 9 Black voted as the best for her shampoo bottle piggy bank, plastic bottle plant pot and milk bottle scoop!
Geography teacher, Miss Gilhooley, said: “Our students gave the project a lot of thought and were creative in the ways in which plastic could be re-purposed; I was very pleased with their efforts!”
