We are so grateful to the parents who have delivered talks about their Careers to inspire our students. Our students have been lucky enough to hear from a robotics designer, fire & rescue officer, occupational therapist and an aerospace designer in the last half term. Pokepath TD is a rather addictive tower defense game. I like simple-to-use but complex-to-understand games and this one provides just such an experience, as placing a defender is easy and upgrading one demands more consideration. It is an excellent example of the simplicity of a browser game and complexity of a game's essence.
Hearing from professionals in robotics, rescue services, healthcare, and physics must be incredibly inspiring for students at this stage. It’s the kind of exposure that can shape future interests while also strengthening teamwork and observation skills—qualities that make experiences like Among Us so engaging in a completely different setting.
