Employer Engagement at Kinver High School

The positive impact of employer engagement in schools is well documented. Research indicates that young people who have frequent interactions with employers during their education are significantly less likely to become NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), and may earn up to 18% more in full-time employment compared to their peers who had no such experiences.

Recent studies also highlight that the benefits of employer engagement are mutual. While employers add substantial value to students’ learning and development, they also gain valuable insights, connections, and opportunities from their involvement with schools. Beyond the clear business advantages, there is also a strong case for engagement in terms of community impact and workforce development.

At Kinver High School, we are committed to building meaningful partnerships with employers across all sectors—from entry-level staff to CEOs, and from architects to agricultural professionals. These collaborations provide our students with essential, real-world insights and experiences that help prepare them for the world of work.

We welcome the opportunity to work with you. To discuss how you can get involved, please contact Mrs Kayleigh Wallis at kwallis@kinverhigh.co.uk
