Educational Trips
Educational visits and trips contribute to students developing a broader understanding about specific curriculum areas, the world around them and developing their own skills. Every year Kinver High offers students a variety of trips; including residential visits that may broaden their learning experiences. More often than not schools’ trips provide students with long lasting memories, beyond their school years.

At Kinver we believe in offering all students the opportunity to learn and enjoy new experiences outside of the classroom, as well as creating lasting positive memories of school. Many curricular and extra-curricular visits are organised every year. Recent ones include theatre visits to watch musicals, dramatic productions and the ballet, visits to Russell group universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham, a visit to London and Parliament, day trips to Alton Towers, Carding Mill Valley, Swanage, the National Space Centre and Science shows such as the ‘Big Bang Roadshow’ at the NEC.
Last academic year also included international trips to both Spain with priority given to students studying Spanish, and Austria for the annual Ski Trip. Students in Year 7 also have the opportunity to take part in an annual outdoor education visit for 4 days in the summer term and Year 11 also take part in an annual weekend study and outdoor education residential to PGL as part of the revision support programme in Year 11.
We believe that such experiences for our students are not only great for cementing life-long memories, but is also opportunities for our students to develop their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the wider world and are incredibly rewarding experiences for staff and students alike.
New and exciting trips are already being planned for next year!
