We have very strong links with our local churches in Kinver, both St. Peter’s and the Methodist Church. The churches in Kinver have always had a strong presence in our school and we value their support and the links we have with them. Over the years, the churches have offered two Alpha Courses to our students and also been a weekly presence in school. We also visit the church every July during our Year 8 community week to help to support the work of the church through gardening in the churchyard.

In September 2018 we were delighted to be able to launch a new team of Chaplains here at Kinver. Our chaplaincy team have grown in number over the last couple of years and their work in school has also grown and developed. We now have our chaplains being able to visit school twice a week during lunchtimes. They are there to support students during lunchtimes and offer a listening ear. Our students often meet them in the canteen for a chat and a weekly catch up. There is also a box in reception for any worries, questions or prayer requests for the chaplains, who will respond to these individual queries or concerns.

Our ethos and values at Kinver reflect those of the Christian faith and we offer our students the chance to discuss any questions of purpose and meaning in a safe and supportive environment. We feel that our students’ spiritual and moral development is as important as their academic development as we want to ensure that our students are well-rounded individuals and global citizens who are valuable members of society.
