Kinver High School GCSE Results – Kinver Students Celebrate Success!

Updated: Aug 29, 2023

We are ecstatic to announce that our students have again excelled to achieve another set of thoroughly well-deserved and exceptional GCSE results.

We are delighted that our students’ hard work has been rewarded, especially in a year when national KS4 results have been impacted. Both our amazing students and phenomenal staff have worked tirelessly together throughout, and as a school and team of staff we couldn’t be any prouder of their success today.

· 30% of students attained 3 or more Grade 9-7

· 16% of students attained 5 or more Grade 9-7

· 80% of students attained 5 or GCSE’s at Grade 4+

· 60% of students attained 5 or more GCSE’s at Grade 5+

· 76% of students attained a Standard Pass (Grade 4) in both English and Maths

· 54% of students achieved a Good Pass (Grade 5+) Pass in both English and Maths.

Special recognition for outstanding attainment or progress goes to:

Poppy; Ivy; Anna; Isabella; Henry; Poppy; Oliver; Rhys and Evie.

We would like to commend and congratulate the following two students who between them obtained 19 Grade 9’s with Lucy achieving a clean sweep of Grade 9’s, placing her in the top 2% of students in the Uk:

Lucy: 9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,L2D*

Emma: 9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,L2D*,8

Mrs Clifton Headteacher commented “I would like to congratulate all of our students on their success and my staff, our parents, carers and local community for their continued invaluable support. As a team we have worked together to achieve these tremendous results. We need to recognise that this is not a normal year and our students have overcome many challenges throughout their Key Stage 3 and 4 studies. This year, this is without the additional cushion of exam board support of recent years, which remains in place in other parts of the UK outside of England still. Our students and families should celebrate all the hard work that has gone into securing today’s outcomes. I would also like to congratulate all students and families receiving results within our local community area today. You all thoroughly deserve to have a great celebration with your friends and families.”

As a school and Trust we are delighted that our students have now secured the results needed to progress onto their post 16 destinations and look forward to welcoming many of them back to us in September at Invictus Sixth Form.
