Why choose this course?

Choosing an AQA A Level in Sociology allows students to explore the structure of society and understand how social factors such as class, gender, ethnicity, and education influence people’s lives. The course encourages students to think critically about the world around them, analyse data, and interpret social patterns and issues from multiple perspectives. These analytical and evaluative skills are highly transferable and valued by universities and employers alike. Studying sociology prepares students for a wide range of careers, including law, social work, journalism, education, criminology, and business, as it develops the ability to understand people, think independently, and engage with complex social questions.
